Welcome!
I have set up this blog for friends, family, sponsors and anyone else who is interested to read about my experience of working as a volunteer on the Project Raja scheme for the charity Tree of Life for Animals (www.tolfa.org.uk) , based in Rajasthan, India.
To hear more about TOLFA and how I came to get involved, scroll to the bottom of the page and read on.....
*** Please note, some of the pictures in this blog are of dogs with severe injuries, taken before successful treatment, and may be upsetting to some people so please be aware of this when you click on the picture links. ***
I want to say thank you to those people and organisations who have donated money to TOLFA as a result of this trip.
Firstly, a HUGE thank you to Nigel and Stroud Farm Services, Chalford, Gloucestershire for their very generous donation. Nigel, it's still not too late to book that flight!!!

Thank you to Gumbies Direct for donating a pair of Gumbies for me to wear while I am working at the shelter. They are every bit as good as Crocs but half the price! I live in mine so I thought that because of their comfort and the fact that they can be so easily cleaned in areas where cross infection could be an issue, they would be the ideal footwear for the trip.

Thank you Purple Flame Aromatherapy for donating essential oils to use at the shelter and other Aromatherapy sundries for me to raffle and add to the total.

Thank you to my parents Derek and Venetia Hunter for the Rabies and the Hepatitis B...well, paying for vaccinations in lieu of a birthday present! and to my husband Martin for encouraging me to make the trip...in fact, he was so keen to get rid of me that he even paid the tax on my free Air Miles flight.
Thank you to my brother Simon for his support and to his partner Britt for looking after my horses and rats while I'm away.
Thank you very much to Pat Clayton (GEOTA member) for her very kind cash donation.
Thanks to Terry Smith who made a generous donation in lieu of Reiki treatments for an ongoing Achillies tendon problem.
